Every year, as the light fades into winter, Teasel take some time to focus on resting our soft bodies and rebuilding reserves of energy in preparation for Spring.
But, like many of our nonhuman friends such as squirrels and badgers, we won’t be entering a full hibernation. Between rest, we are also using this time to research, organise, and plan for next year.
As the Teasel community, you told us that you wanted:
– Political education related to land and food justice
– Practical growing and nature connection skills
– Inclusive spaces to empower you to take action on climate and land justice
So that’s what we’re doing! We are exploring options for long- and short-term growing opportunities, building connections with aligned groups, and exploring how we can carefully and considerately build the spaces our community desperately needs.
Over winter and early spring, while you will see less of us, know that we are still here.
And when the warmth greets us again in spring, we will come together again with fresh and rested souls and bodies.
Until then,
Teasel Worker Members
